The NBINet catalog contains more than 7,350,000 bibliographic records and over 13,950,000 item records as of May 31, 2008. The bibliographic records are divided into two categories:

1. Records with library holdings contributed by the NBINet's 77 cooperative libraries;

2. Records without library holdings from various resources including ISBN/CIP records, publishing information during 1912-1949, exchanged bibliographic records with libraries in Hong Kong, etc.
